Established in February 2022, “Governing islands” is a dynamic and innovative research program in the field of island and maritime studies, with numerous European and international scientific partnerships (France, Italy, Argentina, Spain, Slovenia, Algeria). The program is now organizing a second workshop, to be held in Rethymno, Greece, from October 13 to 17, 2025, in partnership with the French School at Athens, the University of Crete and the Institute for Mediterranean Studies (IMS-FORTH).
Depuis son lancement en février 2022, le programme « Gouverner les îles » s’est imposé comme un collectif de recherche particulièrement dynamique dans le champ des études insulaires et maritimes, avec à son actif de nombreux partenariats scientifiques européens et internationaux (France, Italie, Argentine, Espagne, Slovénie, Algérie). Fort de cette expérience, le programme organisera du 13 au 17 octobre 2025 un second atelier, en partenariat avec l’École française d’Athènes, l’Université de Crète et l’Institut d’Études Méditerranéennes (IMS-FORTH).
