The Ecole du Louvre and the Marc de Montalembert Foundation have formed a partnership to sponsor the Marc de Montalembert Prize, worth € 9,000.
This prize, which has been awarded for several years, is intended for a post-doctoral student working on the Mediterranean world (all periods included). The prize holder will be hosted at the Ecole du Louvre Research Center for one month to write an article presenting the results of his/her work, to be published in the Cahiers de l’Ecole du Louvre. Living expenses will be covered by the Marc de Montalembert Foundation with a flat-rate allowance. The winner may also, if he or she wishes, take up residence in Rhodes at the headquarters of the Marc de Montalembert Foundation.
Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- be either born in or a citizen of a country bordering the Mediterranean (22 countries)
- be under 36 years of age on November 30, 2024
- hold a PhD degree (doctorate)
